Simply-Infatuated

Since Megaupload has shut down, the media archive is completely dead. Unfortunately, I do not have the time or energy to work on adding everything back. I will keep the section still available, I’m sure that none of the links will be working even if Megaupload is able to come back. If it does, I’m happy I kept the links still there. Therefore, this will just lead me to keeping this site more as a collective for my sites. So I will be revamping the site. After all the years this site has gone through with me working on the media and all the changes I did to the site, it is said to see all the work I had done go to waste. Oh well.

I have decided to make new year’s resolution goals for myself in terms of my sites. The most important one is do a better job with updating media.

This is one of my main issues I seem to be having for my sites that have a media archive on them. I feel like I am unmotivated and it has nothing to do with what type of media archive it is. I seem to be doing ok with Media at Zachary & Kristen but I did slack off with interviews. So I am behind. I guess I also need to figure out what I want to have in a Media Archive. Do I want to put every single media in the archive? How complete should I have it? Ones I have medias for besides Z/K is at Lea&Jon, James and Marion. All havent really been updated since I started working on them earlier this year. Now I decided to do ones for some of my other sites and I am starting to regret deciding to do it. lol. Anyways, I need to figure this media situation out. So it really is no longer the problem of worrying about if I should have a streaming one or a download one. It’s more of what I should put in it. Also, I do not want to be unmotivated and not continue doing what I started. Sigh.

[I did not count the sites I co web at. The ones I run by myself are more important to be in terms of working on medias]

A couple of other goals I need to accomplish in the new year:

- To have the gallery at Jen Fans complete like it was before the server crash in August. So goal is to have everything that was in the gallery before and the visitors on our site come back. (I just feel like we lost visitors. Maybe I am wrong.)

- To not open any new sites unless the ones I currently run are “complete”. There is always something to do on a site regardless if it is complete or not. So I need to make good decisions in terms of opening new sites in the new year.

So from my previous post, I was adding even more sites to my already long list of sites. Now I decided to cut down. I was kind of depressed last week and started thinking what it would be like if I had less sites. Of course, thats not always a good thing to be thinking about especially having added more sites to my list. I started thinking which sites I would keep and making a list of which sites were more important to me than others. After that day, I ended up officially thinking to myself that yea I should cut down some sites.

I decided to officially close Ghost Whisperer Online. I had kept trying not to close it but really my heart is not into it and I really think the only reason I wanted to keep it was because it was the only site. I compared the site to my Veronica Mars Campaign. I realized I love Veronica Mars more than Ghost Whisperer and that really I only loved Ghost Whisperer more for the show than for all of the cast. So I decided it was the time to let it go.

I also decided to give Loving Lea Michele away. I was connecting it to my Lea & Jonathan Online site but I realized that we did not really need the site. Having that site was just getting in the way of putting Lea content onto Lea & Jonathan Online and I was not doing good by the previous owners who actually put content in that site gallery by not using it. So I decided to give the site away.

So its 2 sites down from 20 right now. I may end up getting rid of some more who knows. The problem was never running so many sites because I was always on top of my updates. The problem for me was the number of sites getting in the way of working on previous gallery contents on my recent sites and previous sites that have other content that still need work on like media. Being a good webmaster to me was spending all my time giving my visitors all of that. That is the only reason I decided that cutting down was the way to go. Plus honestly once I hit 20 sites, I realized I was crazy. Even though a lot of people I know have way more sites than that.

First of all, I was suppose to do this site update last month! So why I am calling myself a site whore. Well basically since the last time I did an update, I ended up with 2 more sites! Some updates before I get to that! Two site merges have happened. Candice Accola Network has merged with Candice Accola Online. So you can find me updating Candice at Candice Accola Online. Also Hayden Panettiere Paradise has been merged with Ultimate Panettiere. I am still in the process of moving more of our pics onto Ultimate Panettiere but once everything has been moved. The subdomain will be deleted.

Now onto the two more sites I have added onto my list to make it a total count of 20! I am cowebbing Lyndsy Fonseca Web with Mel! I have been a fan of Lyndsy since The Young And The Restless. So I was really excited to coweb over there. The other site is Chloe Moretz Daily. Basically, I was thinking of running a Chloe site during my trip to Mexico but remembered Mette ran one and it was that site. She decided to give it up for adoption last month. So I took it as a sign and adopted the site from her I really hope that is the last site I will be taking on but unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that it will be. All my sites still connect to each other though. That is one of the main reasons I will take on a site besides myself being a fan of them. Plus, I have some celebs I love but I will never run a site on them. So, I do have some restriction.

Lastly, media dilemma. It’s not really a dilemma but I thought it would make it catchy for people to read. So, I wont be adding One Tree Hill related media anytime soon. A bunch of my sites have a media section and I havent been doing a good job updating them. So OTH media will be pending until then. Also, OTH is not back to next year. So hopefully by next year, I can resume stuff on here. However, I will see if there is any oth related downloads out on the web already and just add it into the section.

OK! I was meaning to do an update about my sites before I left for my trip at the end of August. So A LOT has happened especially in August from bad to good. First good news, I decided to not close Ghost Whisperer Online. It is the only Ghost Whisperer site and I figured I would wait out my decision till the end of the year. However, I decided to stick news strictly to Ghost Whisperer related. So it will be mostly on Jennifer Love Hewitt since she starred, produced and directed on the show. Anything that the cast do together again would be capped and such. It is still a work in progress.

So the bad news what happened last month was the server that Jennifer Garner Fans was on no longer worked. So we ended up loosing everything in the gallery. I was literally stressed out the week we were trying to see what happened in terms of the site. The good news ended up being that our media files were still all there but just needed to be added back onto the site. Everything on our site including the gallery were gone. So we pretty much had to rebuild the site back from scratch. However, I guess you can say a miracle happened and Biba who we had taken over the site from ended up keeping her stuff she did. So right now, we are in the process of adding her stuff back onto the site. I had kept everything i did for the Jen site we had run before we took over that site. So it was really a process of reorganizing and getting everything back up. We did loose some stuff on the site in terms of gallery but its pretty much screencaps and promotional stills from what I can tell right now. That’s the major work I am working on right now. Not really what I wanted to do but stuff like this does happen. Just on like rare occasions.

BEST PART OF AUGUST was Zachary and Kristen‘s 4 years online anniversary! I cannot believe it has been four years!! It seriously seems like yesterday.

In the month of August, I also ended up opening a ton of sites. I am now running 3 new sites! Adoring Christine Lakin, Captivating Lynn Collins and Nora Zehetner Online. I wanted to open sites for celebs that did not have a site yet. So that went for Christine. There was no fan site for her except Christine’s official site. For Lynn, there was one but had not updated for like 2 years. As for Nora, she was on my list. I had kept pushing doing a site for her off because there was already an established site but it had not been updated since last year. My friend, Amanda, decided to run a site for her but in the end, she decided that she was no longer interested before she opened it. So, I am running that site now. So that means a whole lot of work for me in terms of site world.

This update on my sites is probably really long right now. So another one will be up sometime this week. As for now, the only other major change on my sites is that I am now running Alison Brie Web by myself. So more work for me! I hope I dont faint from exhaustion since TV shows related to my sites return next week!

An update on my sites. I have decided to close Ghost Whisperer Online after almost 2 years of running the site. It was nice to be the only Ghost Whisperer related site online but my heart is not into updating the site anymore. It has always been the last site in my mind in terms of updating. I never got around to update past seasons of Ghost Whisperer with screencaps. So it did not seem fair to keep on running it. I loved running it though and the time I spent on the site.

I am helping out at Candice Accola Network! So make sure to check the site out. And yes all my sites still connect to one another. Don’t know any? Here are some clues. Jennifer Garner. Zachary Quinto. Hayden Panettiere. Look it up! You will not find it all on IMDB.

Another site I have been helping is Alison Brie Web since April around Scream 4 time! So that’s a hint for Kristen Bell and Hayden Panettiere. Another is Zachary Quinto. Look it up! Honestly though all my celebs connect together lol..

Also I know I havent updated the media like I said in the prior post. I will have the One Tree Hill clips up. You may have noticed I havent been doing a very good job updating media stuff on all my sites. So I am working on that from now on. Stay tune. I have not forgotten.
